FS5: Sony FS5 Raw Recording in S-Log and image has colour baked in

That's just a regular ProRes clip...at this time I'm assuming your camera settings were incorrect/something was messed up.

It's not ProRes RAW, which doesn't even open in QT.

This is what it says for a ProRes RAW clip in FCPX while this is what it says for yours.

Hi

I just checked the footage from the shoot a couple of weeks ago and it is ProRes 422 as well.
I then opened up that edit and brought the most recent footage in question, into this timeline and
it still appears with colour baked in and the other footage looks as it is supposed to. Flat.

Thanks for all your help on this. Hopefully it is not sucking up too much of your time.

*a guy BTW. :)

Right...so to clear up any confusion this is not RAW.

It's ProRes that looks like it's had a REC709 LUT baked into it or your internal camera settings weren't the same as the ones from before that shot the flatter footage.

There is really nothing else...your native QT file straight from the SSD is the evidence (it doesn't look like S-Log).

I just spoke with Atomos and I think something may have gone wrong with device. I did have rec 709 selected
and not a LUT but I am suspecting it burnt the LUT in. I was going back and forth a little.

I have now updated the firmware on it and they have taken the option away to burn a LUT in as it was causing problems.

Did a few test shots and it seems to be fine now. Will do a few more this afternoon.

Thanks for all your help and taking time to troubleshoot this. I really appreciate it.

BTW. The newest firmware for the inferno is v9.12 if anyone has an older one.

Hi Cary

Interesting that you are seeing the REC 709 version. When I pull it into Premiere I get a much richer image.
Something has to be going on with Premiere and these images. Underexposed but does it not look like colour
was baked in?

Here is what I get.Screen Shot 2018-07-24 at 1.34.06 PM.jpg
