We're extremly excited about the new FS5 cinema camera from Sony. We're expecting this to be one of the most popular cameras on the market going into 2016. To kick off the launch of this camera we have our $0 down risk free pre-order list already going for the FS5. There's no obligation to buy once you've joined the list. By putting in your order your simply snagging a place in line. We'll call you as soon as a camera become available for you. You can join the list here . Please consider pre-ordering a camera from a small, independant dealer. Often small dealers have a much better 'wait list' to 'delivered cameras' ratio then the big box stores do when a hot product is released.

We're also very pleased to announce the financing options for the PXW-FS5. Through our partners at Sony Financial Services we are offering the following options for the body-only bundle: 12-months, 0% interest, $467/month, -- 24-months, 5.1% interest, $246/month -- 36-months, 6.2% interest, $171/month. For the LENS-KIT package the rates are: 12-months, 0% interest, $509/month, -- 24-months, 5.1% interest, $268/month -- 36-months, 6.2% interest, $187/month.

You can apply on-line now, it only takes about 3 minutes. On the application form you might not see the FS5 added to the drop down menu yet. Don't worry about it. Just type 'PXW-FS5' or 'PXW-FS5K' in any of the fields on the application. You can find the application here.

Let me know if you have any questions at all. Thanks for your time.

I wanted to say thank you to every one who has submitted a pre-order. The early response has been great. If this is any indication, this will indeed be one of the hottest cameras heading into 2016! We're having a meeting with some Sony engineer people in about 3 weeks. Although they haven't promised this, my fingers are crossed that they'll be bringing an early sample of the FS5 with them as they did this time last year with the FS7. I'll certainly post some pics and comments if i have a chance to play with is. Thanks again to everyone for the opportunity to earn your business. It means a lot to us. Let me know if you have any questions.

any idea how long sony will have this financing in place?

what has been sony's recent policy about finance options for just released cameras?

(fs700 and fs7 being examples of recently released cameras)

thanks in advance.

be well.

Hey Robfilms, the Sony Financial Services program will be on going. They don't change up their rates or the eligible items too often. Its fairly consistent.

You asked what Sony's "recent policy about finance options for just released cameras?" was. I'm not quite sure i follow your question. All of those cameras you mentioned, FS700, FS7, and the new FS5 are all elgible. They have a promotional rate of 0% over 12 months, or you can chose a longer period and a higher rate. Our most popular is the 36 month period at 6.2% interest. You can see a partial breakdown of the most popular options in the drop down menu here. http://provideoandtape.com/sony-finance.php .

I hope that information is helpful. Please let me know if you have more questions on the financing or the Sony cinema cameras (or any other video gear for that matter). I'm absolutely happy to help any way i can. Thank you.
