Sony EX1/EX3 lens sun hood on GH2?

Hello. I have an idea to adapt a sunshade from EX1/EX3 to my GH2 same way as in this topic http://www.dvinfo.net/forum/panason...29-sexiest-practical-gh2-rig-smallhd-dp6.html. Currently I don't have such a shade, but I am going to order one. The question is- I would like to use it with wide angle lenses as 12-35mm f.2.8 or 12mm f.1.4 - I am worried about vignietting- will be there vignetting on 12mm with one filter/ two filters, does anyone of you know what's the widest focal lenght usable for EX1/EX3 sunshade ? ( this cameras have 31mm angle in full frame equivalent, so 15,5mm on gh2, but I am sure that there must be still some reserve.
If anyone has such a EX1/EX3 shade and could check the maximum wide angle possible, then I would be very gratefull.

Regards.

the focal lengths on EX1 are f = 5.8 mm to 81.2 mm (equivalent to 31.4 mm to 439 mm on 35 mm) Put this in your calculator (I love pCam on iPhone for that kind of things) and it comes up with a widest angle of 15.6mm equivalent on GH2.
My conclusion is: everything under 15.6 mm wide will vignette.

Nope, I don't think that the 31.4 ( 15.6 GH2 ) is the widest angle that the EX1 shade can be put onto. My friend has Panasonic AG-HMC-151, that camera has 28mm-368mm lens and together we checked it's factory lens shade and even 24mm ( 12mm GH2 ) will fit, because it has a margin for wider lenses. The question is how much of that margin the EX1 sunshade has? The EX1 sunshade can be adapted to GH2 lens via step up rings. Phenixone - could you do me a favor? Could you measure if your EX1 shade fits 14-140? Or even 12mm ( if you own such a wide lens ) Pleaseee! Thanks in advance.

I'm sorry I do not own an EX1. Only got the tech specs form the site and extrapolated from it (hence the calculations)

Why would you want to put such a large shade on a relatively tiny lens ?. A simple petal hood would be far more effective. The EX1 lens hood could not be fitted by using step up rings, it is a bayonet fit
