Easy to add gain, not easy to remove noise.
Do you think it will be possible to make software updates ?

I've noticed that, too, in every version of the camera since the 1080i footage that was projected in ResFest. They have seemingly taken quite a few steps backward in the noise/sensitivity department since then, perhaps to push another stop out of the footage before release. I'm not sure what is exactly to blame, but all of the footage I've seen since October has been quite underwhelming.PappasArts said:I will tell you this, first report in a chat session while the HVX 200 was hooked up to a monitor in Kaku's studio was the HVX200 is noisey in the grey tone to black areas of the image.... I worried about this! I saw this with the many HVX200's I used!
PappasArts said:Compared to the XLH1 material I have filmed it's very noisey. The H1 is so clean even at 200% blowups. When I take the same kind of clips from the HVX200 and do the same, it's not a pretty sight!

Can we get these guys banned?
