Somebody with some time and a 3D program...

Dude, that vid put a smile on my face. THAT is what it is all about.
Looked like alot of fun. I'm happy for you. Congrats.

It's been awhile but I finally recieved my DVD in the mail as promised. I'm not sure if your still hanging around DVX Casper but I thought I would post a few grabs from it.
These are right off my desktop. I kept the grabs to the opening so as not to give anything away. I wasn't expecting a full length movie, 1hr:37min, wow.
Great music and audio too.
Hope you drop in again someday. Oh, and I recieved my Coke labels from your world travels. Much appreciated :) (I need one from Japan now, hint, hint)
It was a pleasure to meet you and hope you drop in again someday.

Congrats.

Did I forget Karel? I guess people will have to watch to find out what happened to him. He is in one of those photos.
- Hope I have all of the names right Casper.

I had a look at your bio on your site and a few of your recent projects.
Wow. I think you're going to do fine, haha.

I was watching The Doppler Effect and must admit I got a little jealous when you jumped in that race car and went for a ride. Lucky you :)

I'm going to sit down and look at the rest, but, wow.

Well... Err.. to be honest:
It's me who's getting in the car, but it's a 'stand-in' who is driving the car...
But hey, ssst! Don't tell anybody!

Today I'm gonna shoot my first shots using a steadycam! I've tested it yesterday, and wow! It's gonna be wonderful!

Hi Casper. Good luck with the steady cam. I hear they can be hard on the back.

I just finished watching 'De Wereld Is Rond'. That was crazy. That poor lady, haha. I was curious who wrote that and I see at the end it was you. I also see the old gang from '14 Augustus' were in the crew.
I'm amazed with every one I watch.

I was wondering maybe in the future you could have a dual language web site?

"Not me, Casper Eskes. Check him out. This kid makes films.
www. Square C Productions .nl"

WHAHAHA!!! XD
You're overreacting, mate!

Steadycamming went very well! Indeed, it's harder than you might think, but it went better than I thought it would go. Around August the film will be uploaded to the website...

De Wereld Is Rond; did you understand it?
The title in english means "The World Is Round".
The first title (the one with the balck background) means "Making a movie is solving self-created problems"
And the title at the end means
"Is someone happy
because he reached his goal?

Or is someone happy because of the fact
that he
has a goal?"

Some of the cast from "14 Augustus" helped me as crew with "De Wereld Is Rond". The entire project was pre-produced in only three weeks, because of the deadline from the filmacademy. So the script, the finance, the shotlist, crew, cast, etc. were all arranged in 3 weeks. Very stressfull...

Very soon (this summer, that is) 'C² Productions' will be transformed to 'Peak Films' (see the attachment for the new logo).
When I make the new website, I'll try to make an english version too.

I understood most of it but I missed the last line..."Is someone happy..." part.
That's a good line actually.

Looking forward to the new website. I think allowing some people to browse in English would help some of us get around a bit easier.
Looking forward to the next vid as well.
Good work Casper.

(Just came back from Portugal (holiday, one week))

Fantastic piece of art!
The exteriors are amazing!

The interiors also, by the way! How is that done?! Is it real, or is it all bluescreen? Little bit of both I guess...?

Interesting films anyway! I'm gonna watch them all if I've got the time!

Casper

PS: This threat is a good way to chat now and then, but if you've experienced any new interesting things, you may always mail me! I'll do the same...

The exterior ship was a 3D model. The actor welding the exterior ship was a green screened actor and compositing with the 3D model.

The interior is a set. There was a green screen around the window area to allow putting the planet in.

You can read more about that in the official 02 thread...

Be warned, these guys like to have fun ( :) ).

The terminal effects were done in post ofcourse. Mark will elaborate on that when the fest completes I think. The DVD version I believe will ofcourse be longer, have extended scenes and breakdowns of the effects, but , that's not official, you understand :)

//When the DVD is done I'll be sure and send you one Casper. Not sure what is planned for it yet.
Looking forward to the next vid from you ofcourse.

Fantastic!! Quite impressive list of actors and crewmembers (didn't recognise them at first sight)!

It must have been a huge project! With quite some big sets, as far as I can see... Excellent work!

I'm looking forward to the DVD, can't wait!

I just downloaded all the video's from the contest, so tomorrow or so I'm gonna watch them. I already know that the level of quality is really high, here on DVXuser...

'De Wereld Is Rond' has won an award! :D
The Fifteen Minutes Of Fame Award 2008.

To be honest, the competition wasn't that hard, with all respect, but it's still nice! And it looks beautifull:
