Some wedding stills

Here are some stills I took from a wedding this past Saturday. These have been deinterlaced with Photoshop. This is the first time I've shot an event with the DVX-100 and I'm thoroughly impressed! I will have some upcoming questions about color correction!

A dutch tilt on almost every shot? Hmmm... I dunno about that. Looks good otherwise, though.

A bit cool, but nothing that can't be fixed in post.

I agree about too many tilts. The one of the alcohol looks a bit out of focus. The one of the kid and the piano are really great!! Keep taking shots like those and all of them will turn out great! :)

Pretty good stuff, El Producto!

If the oblique angle works on any of those shots, they would probably be 1 and 3. On the others (2, 4, 6 and 9) I think it detracts from the shot.

IMO the Dutch angle can work for two reasons.
1. If it is a visually pleasing way to compose (or fit) a particular subject or group of subjects in the frame and
2. If you are trying to get a different feel for the shot- playful/different/jazzy/energetic

Every time you're tempted to tilt the camera, just call to mind this movie, which has got to be the patron saint of unmotivated Dutch angles everywhere. :)

I agree. I didn't want to, but the bride wanted everything shot weird. She said if it looked like another boring sappy wedding video she wasn't going to like it. I've shown her the raw footage of what I've shot so far and she's doubled my pay :-) IM DUTCH ANGLIN MY WAY TO THE BANK FELLAS!

BTW, no filters or CC on another of those. I don't even know what a Brevis is.
