Some more (yet probably not new) info on the mkIII.

So for what it's worth....

On the 4th I saw a photographer friend of mine. He's pretty well established and does a lot of big-time gigs. Anyways, he was telling me he has a couple of friends who have a mkIII prototype. He said it has better compression and is 32 megapixels. Other than that he wasn't allowed to see it because they obviously signed NDAs.

This is information that has already been rumored, right?

He also is pretty sure it will be released this year.

Did they mention a video feature?

[Krunko]

That's all he knew. He's a photographer so he wasn't interested in video/film features so much. What video feature are you talking about?

[Hawk Teflon]

Having video at all. There's been rumors that they're stripping it from the camera.

Well he said it will have better video compression. I guess that doesn't leave out the possibility that there could be 2 versions though.
