Some HV20 stuff...

Yea, so I did this in the morning just messing around with it.... I shot it in like 20 minutes, editing in 20 minutes and did post grading in like 5 minutes. So it took a little less than an hour to do this all by myself. It was just me and the camera.

I do have a problem tho... I don't know why... but why is it that there is like a highlighted line on the bottom of my video? It appears around 1 minute and 40 seconds.....

Does anyone know why?

umm it could just be a format problem try messing around with some different ones. It could also be your tape that is probably the most likely issue.

Your vid, ehh lighting was interesting but kinda annoying cuz it was like dark all the way through. But i dont wanna be the downer. It was good, i always mess around and shoot stuff by myself too just to test stuff out.

No, it can't be a tape issue. I edited this in Final Cut and it had no sign of that whatsoever. When I converted the file to flv, it then became apparent. It's more of a conversion problem i think.

I also forgot to mention that the concentration of that vid was based on the contrast of light and dark and the dichotomy of the two in different places.

So I intentionally made a dark film simply to create the manipulation between those two things.

It was too dark. Kept makig fast forward through it to try and see what's going on... I suppose you were using the light trick? Anyways...next time try lightening it up a bit in post.

Yea, that's essentially the point of the vid, even tho it was mainly just messing around with the cam.

I intentionally underexposed to show that contrast between lights and darks, not necessarily show what exactly what was going on.

I liked the look of it. It was boring, but it shows the potential for using that sort of exposure in the context of a story. Didn't think it was too dark at all.

I'm getting my HV20 in about four days. It's nice to keep seeing such good looking footage from it day after day. The sixth can't come fast enough.

Thanks for putting that up.

Yea seriously, the stuff that comes out of this little thing is amazing.

Working with the FX1 and HVX, I'm impressed with this camera.

Ok gotcha. In that case...I see what you were up to...I like it. I gotta try these same experiments with my HV20 when I get it back out the shop. Heck....this looked dang good on YouTube...I wish I could check out a higher res version...maybe on Vimeo or something.

Yea, I'm pretty amazed with the cam. Someone just recommended me with a file uploading site, so I'll take advantage of that and vimeo.

I totally forgot about that, thanks!
