Titling

Titling

I have created title pages and can see them in the Viewer in FC Express, but when I play it, or try to save it the titling doesn't appear. What am i doing wrong?

fcp crashes when I digitize

fcp crashes when I digitize

FCP keeps crshing when I conclude my digitizes. What might be wrong with my settings? I shot the footage on a Sony A1. The camera I used for shooting has broken down and I have borrowed a z1 in order to digitize. FCP crashes about three quarters of the time when I press escape hoping my digitize will appear in the browser and when I re-boot, it is as if nothing had happened. The browser doesn't contain the footage just captured, or rather, not captured. The footage which survived the digitizes is totally normal. Why might this be happening?
All the settings I can think of are correct. What am I missing???

Sorry, fits...

I haven't been inspired to make any more. Kids are growing up... New job... I'm stuck in FCP 5... I'm not shooting HD... everything I know isn't new anymore.

We'll see. Thanks though.

Maybe what you know isn't new but it sure is GREAT!
Thank you so much for not only doing the tutorials but for posting them free of charge and making
them so easy to understand. I thoroughly enjoyed your website and your movies also.
Your family is inspiring. I've been doing projects with my son but a website for his video projects has never crossed my mind. What an Awesome idea! I'm starting one today.
Thank you Again and Again

(This is self promotional, but I think a lot of people here could make good use of this site.)

http://www.fcptutorials.com is a site with links to many tutorials- close to 100.

I got frustrated with the lack of a good aggregate site, so I made one myself. And in the process, I've found a lot of gems in the nooks and crannies of the internet that I wouldn't have found otherwise. Hope the site is a good resource for you.
