Some good FCP Tutorials

I'd like to jump on the bandwagon of thanking you for this help... Final Cut is pretty easy to use but getting to watch someone do it and explain it well helps a lot! By the way, do you know if there is any way to convert cuts (set in & out on clip, drag to timeline) to actual subclips? Sorry to hijack!

If I understand what you're asking, you can dbl click the clip to load it back into the viewer and then Apple-U to make it a subclip.

Is that what you want?

using FCP HD 4.5 on MacBook (non-pro)?

using FCP HD 4.5 on MacBook (non-pro)?

I read a note you wrote that seemed to indicate that it was possible to run FCP HD on the new MacBook (non-pro).

I of course get the prompt indicating I need an AGP card. I Also talked to mac support- no help at all.

Are there any options?

thanks,

NO! Officially from Apple, you can not run anything prior to 5.1 on an Intel Mac. 5.1 is the first version that is Universal Binary.

The reason is that any earlier version will have to run under Rosetta, which is a G5 emulator, and runs things super slow. Way to slow to do any real video editing wihtout major problems.
