Some DOF Grabs!

yep, it`s PAL, well in Premiere i just used the "Color Corrector" and played around with the "HSL Hue Offsets" after i got the look i wanted i used "Tint" with 25%, that`s about it, hope this helps :)

Yeah, I was wondering in some of the shots it looks softer then other and which looks kinda "gloryified", kinda aluminating. Did you apply some kind of filter to those shots? Other than that I really like the location you shot at, it has this calm atmosphere.

Hey Smettli, no i didn`t use any filters, i just remembered i did used MB Vignette, which was a mistake :(

What 35mm adapter you have used for this great DOF ?

I`m glad you like the DOF :), i didn`t use any 35mm adapters, it`s just plain DVX zoomed in all the way :), i would love to get my hands on one though, actually i`m in a search for used Letus35 FE, anyone? :)

I havent seen the video yet, but could it be possible that you didnt shoot it at 1/50th shutter speed (maybe it was at 1/25th)? If it was, then all that handheld could be causing a little bit of motion blur.

If not, then I guess it's simply a case of nailing the focus a little better. Perhaps try not to shoot with the iris at wide open? I know that it gives a shallow DOF but stopping down a little can help the lens perform abit better and can give you a little more room for focus.

Off topic: Curious, what's the focal length and max. aperture of the DVX lens at the telephoto end?

Hey Luzer, the vid is up already, just go back to the second page, there`s a link provided :)
I will definetely try your suggestions out, as for the shutter speed, it was at 1/50, i believe the iris was wide open as i always try to keep it that way, compensating with ND filters ;)

I did some test shooting with detail level set to +3 for a change and yes the footy does look sharper, but is it better...it`s hard to say :)

The footage looked great:)
loved it!

nooo.. hehe.. if you want the smettli look even more then get a sgpro rev3:P

wow, thanks for the compliment tommetass. Yes, the sgpro rev3 would be awesome, but as i said i just can`t afford one now, actually i think at the moment i`m going to invest in sound gear, looking at NTG-2 :)
cheers everyone :)
