Some DOF Grabs!

Hi everyone! I was trying to achieve some DOF with just plain DVX, have a look. Grabs have been CC`ed in Adobe Premiere 1.5, i was trying to go for the "Smettli look", looks like i went a bit crazy too, lol. Anyway, if you have any questions...please :)

Wow, smettly officially has his own look? Norwegian power!

Nice grabs too, you handled the DOF quite well. :) I also like the colors a lot.

but I would say, personally, that the "smettli look" is a bit darker and a bit sharper..

that's only my opinion though:P
 
i like them aswell... don"t really like the framing on the first one but that's just me its not bad, colors are cool too. do you have any footage, the festival sounds pretty cool the flames and such. sounds like it would make great footage.
 
I like your grabs but i think smettli's results are much sharper which is crazy considering he uses an adapter & lenses. I reckon smettli is keeping something from us to be honest, either that, or the guy is a total genious! Any chance we can see some footage?.

I'm neither a genious or hiding something, when you get your sgpro's you'll see for yourself!

Do you have some footage to supply with them grabs, Cipa?
 
Hey guys and girls! Thanks for the positive feedback :), i agree that Smettli`s footage does look sharper, i just don`t know, maybe i`m doing something wrong, lol

I think the "Smettli look" is a simple combination of few things: low edge enchantment and high contrast, it makes it look "naturally" sharp not sharpened. The SGPro helps also.
 
i think maybe my footage isn`t so sharp is due to the fact i`m zoomed in all the way + it was all handheld. i have my detail settings always at -4 or -7, can`t that be the case? hope to get some answers ;) Anyways, i`m sending my video to Smettli, he`ll be uploading the vid later today (hopefully) :)

Yeah, I was wondering in some of the shots it looks softer then other and which looks kinda "gloryified", kinda aluminating. Did you apply some kind of filter to those shots? Other than that I really like the location you shot at, it has this calm atmosphere.
