I want to crop GH2 files to reduce file size, but without re-encoding. I assume it is theoretically possible if you crop at I-frames, which I'm happy to do. I have used Premiere a little but could not find any features for locating I-frames, even if it could export them without re-encoding. Encore has the ability to produce output without re-encoding, so that might work. But what I'm really looking for is a simple piece of software in which you import the GH2 file, select the crop points, the software selects the nearest I-frames, crops to those, and saves without re-encoding.
In theory, is it possible to do that? In practice, does any software offer that facility?
