Re: So what's todays HDV news?
Doesn't software such as Cineform Aspect HD help create enough headroom as it converts HDV's MPEG stream into a 100Mbps AVI file? Doesn't this solve the problem of adding graphics, transitions (recompression) and so on?
I realize processing HDV (already compressed) this way MIGHT not be as ideal as capturing HD uncompressed (tapeless) or HD un-recompressed (from tape). Doesn't it really depends on the quality of the cameras built in encoder and the Cineform software? Maybe I'm misunderstanding the Cineform software.
