GH4 so... what the heck is CINEON?

CINEON as mentioned in the new V-LOG upgrade...

anyone here have background on CINEON?

I googled and found out it was a Kodak system developed in the 90's

and this seems educational (although I have not read through the whole thing yet)

You mean the V log paid upgrade that others provide for free?

It was/is a LOG transfer function for scanning film. Served the same purpose as an in camera LOG curve ... to preserve as much DR as possible.
