So what did you get for Christmas?

i got a ipod Nano 4gb. a really nice leather jacket. and tomorrow im going to EVS to purchase myself a 100b.

The mother-in-law got these for my little guy.
I musta dropped three bills on video games alone,
but these are by far his favorite gifts. Can't blame him,
though...they are really cool. He takes after his
old man as you can see...

By the way, does anyone remember the original
Raiders figures? Cause I sure as poo poo don't. If I
had spotted them back in 81-82 they woulda been
mine.
Now they go for $150 and up on Ebay...go figure.

Merry christmas all,

By the way: Be careful, the game (the movies) is addicting... now, I'm afraid I'll be making movies on the computer, and not actually going out and doing the real thing!

Yeah i got that for my birthday last week...your right...its quite addicting. The only problem is: I suck....BIGTIME. Im in seventh place...out of seven studios with barely half the revenue of the closest competitor. I dont know wtf is going on.

For chirstmas i got some Pink floyd shirts....some cash...and my uncle made me a homemade steadicam..which is pretty cool. I can post a picture of it later.

have fun in vegas john.

Yeah dude! The wife, brother and his old lady.............

Driving up manana morning!

You sticking around for all the crazy New Years eve fun?
Which hotel are you staying at?
I'll be working all week at Bellagio sitting up for a New Years Eve party

Get this... yesterday... she gave him a 2006 Chevy full-sized truck... brand freakin' new! He is 16 years old... I freakin' crapped my pants.

Ask your nephew's mom if she'd like to adopt me. It doesn't matter that I'm no doubt older than she is. Although my tastes run more towards a new Subie, my '95 Corolla could use replacing, and beggers can't be choosers.

I got some new Craftsman wrenches, a few books, an Eric Clapton CD, and a relatively inexpensive portable rolling toolchest that I think will serve well for mics and other audio gear.

Nobody in the family decompensated, which was a good thing.

And I almost forgot. I got my picture on a box of Wheaties!

This last year I finally did my first century (100 mile biking in one day) for the MS150 charity ride. They had a photographer along the way that took your picture. The pics were posted on a web site after that, and you could send in and buy a copy. Well one option was to have your picture put on a box of Wheaties. I thought it was kinda cool, but a bit pricey, so I passed. Turns out my wife went out and got me one.

Way cool.

You gotta' show me that Joe... or take a pic of the box and email it to me. That's about the coolest thing I ever heard of... next to getting a new truck for Christmas anyway.

I think I'm going to post a pic of myself sitting indian style (in just my briefs) on the living room floor with my tic-tac-toe shotglasses and 9.5 pound bag of Chick-o-Sticks (was 10 pounds)... next to our glorious tree.

Next year that will be the front of the Christmas card you get from me.

My GF spoiled the **** outta me....Got me XM Radio for my car, which I'm already hooked on, and one of those bluetooth headsets (awesome)....the 'rents got me a nice little compact photo printer and it prints great! I actually really enjoyed giving stuff this year. Got my girl a digicam, my mom a Roomba (that thing kicks ass) and my dad the same XM Radio my girl gave me. What a good X-mas!:) Oh, and I got myself a Rycote Softie, I-cuff, Rain Slicker, and some MDR-7506's from EVS:):):)

OK, the Wheties box may be the coolest gift I've heard of if cost is no matter, but I can just imagine a box with my picture on it....I'm not exactly in the best of shape. I guess the irony would make it funnier. If you have a web link of where to get things like this that would be great.

On another note santa was very nice to me this year. I got some cash to buy an HVX and put towards my next feature, which feels amazing...I'm very thankful. I got two of the Dell 24" monitors and an Aeron chair for my editing setup. I have yet to really sit in it for very long, but it seems amazing.

All I can say is Merry Christmas and an even happier new year...if I ever get my hands on that HVX.

Congratulations! Are you really a grandfather? Cool, now I want to see what you're working on, what you've done, age does affect the way we approach film. Do you have any clips that you've posted? (I'll do a quick search to see). Nope couldn't find any. How old are you?
Year, imagine someone who is 68yo wanting to play with computers & digital video! I started playing with video in the 70's making instructional video for the Govt. Dept. I was working for. This was on Umatic 3/4 inch. Went away from it for about 25yrs & now in retirement I am becoming a slave to it. Cheers.

Check this out... my nephew shares time between his mom and dad. Things have been really tight for my brother this year (new business, etc) and so they just got him a few small items. This kid is already TOTALLY spoiled... Get this... yesterday... she gave him a 2006 Chevy full-sized truck... brand freakin' new! He is 16 years old...

Makes me which my parents got divorced. Holy s*it.

I actually did quite well. My "big" gift was an 8 foot Kessler Crane. She is beautiful. She really is very well constructed. For the price, ya cannot beat it. However, the platform bolts do not fit either one of my quick release plates. Ugh! Looks like I will be needing to upgrade my tripod...

I'm not complaining though...it was a great Christmas. I was spoiled....
