Exactly. It can only record MiniDV to tape.

It can record MiniDV, DVCPro50, and DVCProHD to the following:

1) P2 cards.

2) Laptop connected directly to the HVX via Firewire or USB2.

3) Third Party devices, such as Firestore, which are reportedly developing straight-to-hard-disk solutions.

ha ha.. I should erase the search cache so nothing comes up when you search and then get everyone to answer every question with "do a search biatch!!!!", at which point every search for a question would return an answer "do a search biatch!!!". See how long we can get people to run around in a little circle for.
