So Did the AVS Thread git Trashed

That would be bait and switch.... very, very illegal and I will call them on it if they try. My camera is supposed to be on the way to me now. I'll be checking my credit card.

Barb mentioned that the first 25 were at the old price. Then Panny was charging them more. I don't now if this is considered a price increase at retail or a whole price increase or what I'm just the messenger.

Anyway, the first orders they placed with Panny were at the original price offered here. The remaining orders are $200 more since "Panny was charging them $200 more".

Hope this helps.

Panasonic has not changed their pricing at all.

And for those who didn't see the Panny Queen's earlier reply to me here:

We have not raised the price on the AG-HVX200. It is the same as it always was. There is no plan to increase the price.

Best,

I think that the FX package was something that might have come to an end.

Here's what Jan said in another thread.

We discontinued the packages because I got tired of having to deal with redoing the packages every time there was a price change on the P2 cards. Many of you would not be able to appreciate the amount of work it takes to internally set up the package and redo the pricing on the packages, it is a lot of paperwork and signature. But we have delivered and will continue to deliver any backorder we have that was initially given to us as a package order.

So I repeat, we have not increased the price on the camera. The pricing has just continued to go down with the P2 cards.

Best regards,

Jan

AVS turned to be bait and switch after all...

Even after repeated assurances by Barb (I called and she said "NO we did not raise the price) - they now refuse to sell it at the promised price $5,600

not cool :furious3:

Just talked with Barbara. "They" told her AVS is getting *** 20 *** cameras Monday-Tuesday. BUT... not all of them may have cards. (I didn't think to ask who "they" was).

Sounds like there will be a bunch of cameras some with cards, some not.

If you're on the list, expect calls from Barbara first part of the week.

Rock and Roll!!!!
