So can I . . . ? (simple question - I think)

So let's say I shoot an HD project on the HVX - I edit in FCP and I want to output in HD. But of course I don't have an HD deck . . . can I render the FCP project to my hard drive then lay that back to P2 in the camera (via firewire I presume) so I can take it back to the tv station - off load it to their HD deck and be done?

Of course I know I could take my hard drive back and forth but the p2 card or card with cam is more convenient so just wanna make sure I understand the capabilities of the cam/card.

Thanks

I'm not familiar with fcp, but I seem to remember that the new update to fcp allows you to write back to the card. Somebody correct me if I am wrong on that.

Yeah, you can...I haven't done it yet, tho. Check the documentation. I do know that a big part of it is making sure that the cam is recording in the same exact format as your FCP timeline.
