a lot of people talk about it like its no big deal. but the moire issue is why i decided against a canon for video. ive seen dozens of examples of moire online. and a guy on a shoot last week pulled out his laptop to show me a problem he had with his 7D on a previous shoot. a large, featured, brick wall was just a huge moired-mess. he asked me if that was a quicktime/computer/display issue. and i told him that it was a "feature" of the camera.
its not a canon-only situation. but canon IS the biggest offender. and thats enough for me to make a decision.
first things first. in this case, the word is YOU'RE = you+are. not YOUR = something that is yours.Your wrong...... Watching the Superbowl a month+ ago there was Moire everywhere, especially on the players jerseys. Just last week watching the All Star Game I saw it again Everywhere......... 9 out of 10 people don't care, people need to relax.

Absolutely. It can be caused by an upconversion or downconversion (720p signal playing on a 1080p screen could cause it, but not that likely; 1080i playing on a 720p screen could definitely cause it). Or it could be introduced by your cable TV service -- during their recompression, especially if they're scaling the signal. I see it all the time in DVD upconversions on cable TV, when I know for a fact it's not on the DVD itself.Moire in my Tv set?
See for yourself
Lets forget about the Moire for a second, both of those clips look horrible. Also you could have easily angled the 60d to not show the Moire, I use one every day so I know.....
