I did a small edit with the swedish snowboarder Chris Sörman - "Welcom to the team" edit for Junkyard.se
Its shoot with hpx and 7d cameras.
Hoppe you like it, and give me some props and cons what you likes and dislikes.
The shot right at 0:37 fees weird because he is out of frame and coming in. Since it is all part of the progression down the slope to the jump, I'd cut from him --> to him, and not have him out of frame that long, even though it only is 1-2 seconds.
Also, the music was good in that it felt like it was leading to something, but it never seems to pay off, in fact, it is sort of "unsettling" sounding as it goes to the credits after he says "Let's have a blast," I'd expect a more upbeat or triumphant feel. The audio effects were good though, matched to the edit.
Overall, I think you're working with cool content and the shots all seemed pretty good setting up the scene with the snow falling, putting on the board and not showing him explicitly until after his sweet jump.
Hopefully we'll see more Swedish snowboarding from you.

Nice work. I like opening the cut from out of focus snow shots jump cut to focused with the sound track hit, very simple and emotional, great build up. I would like to see something similar used in the snowboard jump shot. Since you had 2 camera angles maybe if you shot a few more takes in slow motion, close up etc. following him to cut to with similar heavy audio hits on the edits. Very powerful so far, keep going.
