Snow - Lens test of Canon 28mm f1.8

A few days ago I did a little camera test (see below) with the Canon 28mm f1.8 lens that I'd bought. I've become interested in wides b/c I like the ability to have the foreground subject him/herself wide and also have space in the background.

However, in the last few days it's gone from sunny (albeit cold) weather to snowing here in the UK, and so the same garden is now covered in snow, so I thought I'd do another camera test.

It's also allowed me to get some film of the snow to show my sister who lives overseas.

It was all handheld, using the Fader ND to great effect. I also used Magic Lantern to get the onscreen histogram, which was v. useful w/the fader nd to really dial in the right exposure - I could just check the histogram and see how I was doing. It also allowed me to make judgements on whether to under/over expose a little to ensure I preserved the highlights, or also if I was going to blow out some regardless so to make the best of it etc.

Again I did a somewhat ott colour correction to push it somewhat, see how it held up, and then added 2% film grain in magic bullets as I like it!
