SHORT: Snow Job (5 minute intense drama)

I thought this was a good short. I thought all the actors did an excellent job. The only thing I could nitpick would be the gun and blood. The blood was too bright red and looked a little fake (just a little - next time get Ben Nye blood and he's got all different types). The gun shaking in his hand at the end didn't sound like a real gun. I think you can fix that sound in post making it sound more metal and you'll be good to go. Overall, good work. You created a dramatic situation in a really short amount of time.

All around awesome job. Normally I hate student films about drugs and mafia and the like. This was intense. The actors were great. Script was solid.

Though I also have to comment on the blood. Aside from the color, it was really thick and it spread everywhere in a strange way. If he was shot, I would assume the exit wound would produce an outward cone of spray, leaving something a bit more circular. Seems like the blood was EVERYWHERE, and as though it was several splatters. But maybe I'm wrong.

Also, did you have a make-up artist on set? At times they were shiny and I noticed all their bumps and pimples. Kinda distracted me. May have been the hard light too that brought out those problems. Not really a big fan of the lighting.

EDIT: Just noticed it's all practical lighting. Hmm, not really a fan of it. It wasn't that bad though.

Excellent work as always kent, your body of work continues to impress.

Aside from the notes jon starr had, i almost wished it was a little longer (which is odd because i think most people make things to long, myself included).

Maybe its just that you were so successful at building the tension it makes me want to see more. Your actors are impressive for indie work as always. I feel like you could easily expand this piece.
