A B-stock monitor is one with slight imperfections and that can/will show signs of use. Does this help? -Lucia

I got my B-stock DP6 today. Crossed my fingers there aren't any dead pixels or scratches on the LCD... Conclusion: Near mint! Save a bit of used marks on the back, but otherwise in great condition.
Man, I spent close to an hour trying to calibrate its color to match the GH2. You really need to calibrate while it's recording due to the gamma/color shift.

Great to hear! I was pretty sure they would not ship dead pixels monitors, only cosmetic wear...

I've been struggling to calibrate this monitor for a while. If you are able to find an easy method to calibrate it, let me know I'm all ears...
So far I noticed that there is a strong yellow tint and SmallHD recommends to turn the monitor on for 30min before calibration.

I'm still waiting for mine... should be here tomorrow. One thing that's tricky, is that you don't want to calibrate to the GH2's LCD (even while recording) since that itself is a somewhat problematic representation of your final true image. The ideal, I think, would be to calibrate it relative to a broadcast HD monitor or something close to the viewing format with which you'll ultimately be working with the image.

Mine just arrived. Very very nice. Just feels quality. Can't wait to monkey with it tonight.

Took me nearly 10 minutes to find the flaw (and I have a machining background) and about 2 seconds with a sharpie and I'd bet the monitor that someone else couldntt find it without me pointing it out.

Just got your DP6? Now enter the mind-numbingly fun world of color calibrations: http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?275803-SmallHD-DP6-color-calibrations

Ah another post to dive into with my new toy. Mine arrived yesterday. And I didn't see anything wrong with it, scratches, dead pixels... It looked great! then I plugged in the 1.5' hdmi cable and trouble!! Oh no!! It was a blank screen... wiggled the cable out a bit and it kinda worked.... I was ready to send it back. However, I did order a 10' cable with it so I tried that one, and it works perfect so it was a faulty hdmi cable. WHEW!

It's the best under 7" around as far as I'm concerned. They made fixes to the focus assist on the last firmware upgrade that REALLY improved it and I use the false color all the time.

My b-stock DP6 arrived yesterday - I drew the short straw i guess - 3 stuck/dead pixels, one in the very center of the screen (something I just cant get past). I dont care at all about a scratched body but cant deal with dead pixels, especially when I show the monitor to the client for reference - its a distraction from the actual video footage.

Otherwise, it was the first time ive had the chance to see one of these in person. I love the build quality and it looks/feels alot sleeker than all the other monitors out there. I also like the way the menu works, etc. The accessories are top quality as well!

Anyway, I gave them a call and they were cool about it (great customer support which is very important on expensive gear like this). Im sending it back and getting a brand new one (obviously i have to pay the difference in price between a b-stock and a brand new one). Other than having to wait another week to get my new one, it was worth a shot to save a few hundred bucks. I was going to buy a brand new one originally anyway before I saw this promotion so its no big deal.

Just be advised if you go for this promotion, its a crap shoot on what you are going to get. Most people have been reporting only minor cosmetic issues on the body and to me that’s no big deal at all as inevitably that will happen anyway. If you dont need it in a hurry, its worth a shot to try and see what you get.

I again want to emphasize how friendly and responsive their customer support is. This combined with the superior build quality of their product has made me a customer for life... I cant wait to find out about the new product that they are about to announce!
