So Jake are you telling me the AF100's LCD is closer than my setting for the DP6? If so I'd love to know your LCD settings because no matter what I do it's not even close.

Bars and the blue gun.
But without proper phase and chroma controls it is a crapshoot.
the LCD has warming up period, meaning that as the LCD heats up, the Blue channel of the LCD gets brighter and brighter, or it gets cooler and cooler. The TVLogic does this the same as the SmallHD. The difference is that SmallHD seems to have default to a slightly warmer setting than the TVLogic initially, so when the TVlogic has been on for 30 minutes it's overly cool.
It seems though that people generally prefer a cool image to a warm one.
This is correct. Also the TVL heats up faster, since it consumes consumes about 2x the power. We can provide a Cooler look at start-up, if that is what our customers request. We will continue to improve the DP6 with firmware updates. At least we have this option ;-)
I admit we did a lousy job getting the color issues resolved when the DP6 was first released. That will not happen again. Since then we have purchased some very expensive analysis tools that have allowed us to calibrate the DP6 and compare it to other monitors. We are currently exploring some presets that will allow users to quickly select a desired color profile in addition to having Proper Controls due the work up issues discussed in this thread.

The DP6 uses Hue and Saturation. I am told by engineering these are essentially equivalent terms when it comes to color adjustments.Bars and the blue gun.

Looking at the specs released by TV Logic and Small HD, I see that the former consumes 9 watts and the latter consumes 8 watts with HD-SDI signals.
The DP6-SLR 6 watts, the DP6-SDI 7 watts.
We have not completed any quantitive analysis, but the DP4 panel seems to very consistent. If there are changes it would be very difficult to detect without a analyser.DP4's panel has the same color temperature problem ?
Dino,Your product landing page says 8 watts for SDI.
Would using a color calibrator like the x-rite i1 pro would help? Not to create a color profile but to analyze the colors.
