C100: SmallHD 503/703 ?

That is going back, Sam. I have a few DP6's and DP7 Pro, but I've never had my hands on a DP1. One of my friends turned me on to them when you could only buy direct. He was actually in talks with them to become a distributor(they are located only about 2:30 hrs from us). Then before that panned out they were becoming available from main stream channels and then they made a deal with the devil and Vitec gobbled them up.

I ordered a 703 through bh last week, i hope i get it shipped before may.

Absolutely want to hear. Small are so far ahead on the software that other monitors are kind of unusable.. its a dilemma. I basically think my 502 'saved' my FS7 as the lut management on camera is a complete fail.
 
I can confirm I have the SMALL HD AC7 and it's not great for judging colour/sharpness that well. It has focus peaking/hsl and all the other goodies you look for in a monitor but I recently hired the 502 on a job with my C100 mki and wow the difference in brightness, contrast, sharpness, resolution.. I was blown away by how much better the 502 was as an operating monitor. I can't say much for a client/directors monitor as it's less than half the size. If you are looking for a decent monitor, I would go the 502 over the AC7 any day. Then again they have OLED now, and they're not bad at all - especially on an Alexa ;)

Some people forget, they have actually had OLED for a long time and(either newshooter or red shark wrote an article recently about their new monitors and proclaiming, incorrectly, that small has finally entered the OLED game. I actually corrected them and was ignored and the article was left unchanged.), in my opinion, the DP7 Pro OLED is one of the best on-camera monitors ever made. I pre-ordered it when it was first announced and paid a lot for it, but don't regret it. I just wish I had bought another when they slashed the prices on them at the end. It's a shame they discontinued it. You're right about the AC7 series. They were/are basically just scaled up DP6's, which honestly were never great color wise. Even the OLED version of the AC7 wasn't great, especially out of the box. Had a friend with one and the colors were whack.
