C200: SmallHD 502 Bright monitor

Yeah, does the 502 have the same features as the 702, but smaller? 7" is just too big for me to mount on my camera.
 
Honestly, I would stay away from Small HD. I had nothing but problems with my 502, the SDI was constantly breaking, same with many of the units I rented. They make monitors with nice features but their QC is pretty horrible. Just ask the rental houses, they are constantly sending them in for repair.

I went with the TV Logic 058 after I ditched the 502. Fantastic monitor. Not as bright as the 502 but it works, which is more than I can say for the Small HD.

I was just about to get the 502 for my C200, but then I noticed that it seems to not receive a 1080/60p signal? Is this correct?
 
The QC thing is true. WHEN they work correctly on all fronts, they are very nice. But they will always repair and replace for free.
 
That sucks. The 702 does, 1080 60p through SDI, right?

Also, does that mean that I would get a blank screen, or that it would just display at 23.97? I'd rather some image, rather then no image.
 
I would contact SmallHD and ask about everything.

1080/60p via SDI isn't mentioned on that chart at all and that really can't be right...I can't confirm but would be absolutely dumbfounded in none of their monitors support 60p via SDI.

FWIW, both my 702 Bright and Focus SDI monitors show 60p from my C200 no problem. Can't imagine the 502 would be any different.
