Small foreign body in VF

Hi Guys.
I have a minor problem. I seem to have a very small foreign body in the VF of my XH-A1. It is very tiny and I have established that it is in the VF, nothing shows on the LCD and the lens is clean. I have recorded some footage and nothing shows on tape. My question is, can I remove the rubber eyecup to get into the VF and give it a good clean.

I had the same thing - I just gave it a squirt of air through the joint between the vf and the main body
