Interesting thread. Liked a lot of what I saw in the video above.

Echo those who like to see a matched set. Would never use them on everything, but would be a great option for funkier looks.

Also be great if SLR would correct the focus rotation on the 12/1.6 so it matched cinema lenses, including theirs. Can't abide lenses sets that don't.

Hi folks,

From the last mail I had from SLR Magic, the lenses are due to mars/april.

I bet on april rather than this month but who knows !
 
In the last mail I received from SLRMagic the lens was due to late april/early may.

Now we are past way the date so I droped a mail to know the actual whereabouts.

Waiting for an answer so I can update you guys.

Looks like we'll have to wait some time before having the lens in our hands :

"Due to expected high demand on the SLR Magic HyperPrime CINE 25mm T0.95 lens couple with some delay in production, we are still trying to catch up with pending orders. The SLR Magic HyperPrime CINE 35mm T0.95 lens is therefore postponed.
We will email you when the lens is ready for ordering."

SLRMagic seems to be victim of it's success...


 
So it's July and we've gone backwards from having a projected release date of/in February to not even having a pre-order date. :(
 
Still no news from SLRMagic :cry:

But Andrew Reid of EOSHD shot with one in one of his latest blog post. Maybe he's got pre-serie version ? Maybe because he was one of the beta testers ?

My guess is that they have problems to mass produce it...
 
So it's now October and still no sign of either the original version which was supposed to be out back in February or the "updated" version that was supposed to be out last month.
