The 1.33x set comes with a PL mount, & can be used with a EF adapter, so imagine they cover S35. Maybe even larger.

Someone asked them about that and they said the 50 and 70 1.33 should work fine with full frame, so all 3 should do APS no problem. Then again, it's only 1.33. I much prefer the 2x look.

Anyone coming to IBC can see the 35mm 2x on a GH4 at the Convergent Design booth, along with an Odyssey7Q+ de-squeezing the image. I briefly tested the lenses today while we were setting up the booth and I must say that I'm quite impressed with the look, especially for the price.

While the 2x 35mm will technically only cover M4/3 while the 50mm and 70mm will cover Super-35, in reality if you are striving for a 2.39 or 2.67 frame extracted from a 16x9 S-35 sensor rather than a 3.67 super-wide frame (16x9 area through a 2x stretch), then I believe that this lens will in fact cover. I suggested to SLR Magic that they make it available in PL and other mounts with the coverage noted on the lens, but they are reticent as most people will not understand.

Matthew Allard mentioned he shot some with the SLR Magic's on his A7s. Wish he would have posted some footage, though I really want to see how the 2x look on the GH4. It's a pity the DVX200 won't be able to take advantage of these.

These deserve their own thread. Vantage is in an entirely different market than SLR Magic. Their lenses cost an order of magnitude more than the SLR Magic stuff.

I was thinking about that but thought that the "maxi" Hawks are very high end (I saw the Spielberg/Hanks demo) but then maybe these "Mini" Hawks would be more affordable.

Now back to the Sunday morning football.

Considering the only set of Hawk's I can find online are some refurbished C-Series for $85K for a set of four, or a set of V-Series at $370K for a set of 7, I think it's safe to say that "affordable" in Vantage's eyes is going to be a little different from SLR Magic's...
