SLR Lens for 35mm adapters

I just built a 35mm adapter for my DVX100B and I dont know what kind SLR lens should be using. Any suggestions on a cheap decent lens? I made it so that Nikon lenses will mount on to it.

How did you make your own 35mm adapter?

and why did you make one before you had any lenses or even knew which lenses you wanted?

if he made it for nikon lenses, obviously he wants to use nikons. to the OP: you want the old manual focus nikon lenses. the lower the aperture the better! you will need lighting, more so with HD than SD. you can find the lenses anywhere used for quite cheap, eBay, craigslist etc. make sure they are Manual Focus lenses. not AF.

TMY i made the 35mm adapter by following this tutorial but i modded it to fit the DVX. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2kep2dHPyZo&feature=related. i tested it with a friend's Nikon lens. I just didn't if his lens was the right one to use for filmmaking.
