Slow Motion

That looked really good for the most part Russ. The only exception was a bit of choppiness around the middle both in the ball and the guy. Was that caused by a higher than default shutter?

50i pal land, shutter was 1/1000, yeah a bit of chopiness going on I did go overboard tho to see how it held up,
I think the halo effect around the ball at the end could be quite good for certain shots

i don't care much for fake slow motion..all it does is duplicate frames...what I am interested in is getting 30-60fps progressive shooting from the a1

my idea was to get my cam converted to ntsc, shoot it at 30 fps progressive then playback at pal 25 fps..not a big difference but enough to make it more fluid maybe

I disagree. The standard "shoot 60i, deinterlace" method works very well, with no noticeable loss in quality. All the slow motion in this clip was shot 60i on the A1, with shutterspeed somewhere around 1/750, 1/1000 then played back at 24fps after deinterlacing.
