Slow motion shutter

Ok, I have a question that's been bothering me for a while now but only when I'm already in bed and I don't feel like getting up to post it. So we picked up an fs700 a little while back for the slow motion capability. However I noticed something strange. The fps are as follows (no upgrade yet): 120, 240, 480, 960.

But the available shutter options (under the slow motion) are: 125, 180, 250, 350, 500, 725, 1000, 1500, 2000.

Why in the world wouldn't they make the shutter speeds 240, 480, 960, and 1920? Does the 180 shutter angle not apply for slow motion? This doesn't make sense to me. Can someone please explain?

Yeah, the shutter speeds are not exactly 180 degrees. You just have to approximate which I do find strange. But in real world use, it's probably not noticeable at all.

Is it better to shoot a little high? So when shooting 240fps, use the 500, or go a little under at 350? I would imagine a little higher would be better.

When shooting super slomo, you typically want as little motion blur as possible. This is doubly true if you want to further slow down the motion in post with plugins like Twixtor (to resemble Phantom footage). So shoot as high a shutter speed as your lighting will allow. The higher the better.
