slow motion in PAL land ?

Hello, on my 7D (bought in Europe), the 1280x720 mode is 50 fps, not 60.

Does it mean that the slow motion will be a bit faster than NTSC models, when put in a 24fps timeline ? To get optimal results, must I still shoot with a 125 shutter and reduce it to 0.4 in my NLE software? Or 0.5 (hence being slightly faster) ?
Thanks.

According to what I have been told by 7D owners, regardless of where you buy the 7D, it should be able to do both 50P and 60P.

You can switch to NTSC, and then the option will display 60 instead of 50. still if shooting 60, keep your shutter at a pal frequency to avoid flicker, been a problem for me here. I haven't shot 60 at a 50hz compatible shutter setting yet, 50 and 25 are two round numbers that work for me.

I'd shoot 50, shutter 100, playback at 25, and use neoHD to slow it down some more. It does decent job if the numbers are nice and round.
