C100: Slow-mo with 50i on the Mk1?

Yes it works but you are working with lower resolution and a very low bit rate by the point you slow down 50%. It works in a pinch but I would not recommend, falls apart very quickly and is covered with noise.
 
Really? I'm not seeing any noticeable loss in quality on the vid in my original post. I'll have to experiment a little.
 
I see a ton of noise and macro blocking, but it also looks like it was ran through film convert and who knows what else in post. You really should shoot some tests yourself and you can evaluate.

I definitely used it when I still had my C100 but it is a compromise.
 
Even though it sounds like it on paper, it's not much of a compromise in real life. It looks good and I don't think you'd be able to see much loss even when pixel peeping.
I use it a lot to go from 60i to 24p giving 40% slomo.
