GH2 Slow-Mo No go. Locking up using a Extreme Pro card - Help!

Greetings,
I have been running Flowmotion 2.0 on my Gh2 and has used my Extreme Sandisk card 30mb/s. I figured the card was not fast enough based on everything I had ready. I could get maybe a second or two and then it would lock up with the "Recoding has ended.." message. So I bought an Extreme Pro 95mb/s 16gig card and am having it work a little bit more, but it is still locking up. Just to clarify - I'm shooting 720p at 125 shutter. Any solutions or a thread that I missed?

Much Thanks.

Maybe the cards need to be formatted? I always format in-camera before starting shooting with a card, and I've made a habit of doing a low-level format with my computer too, after filling & dumping the card maybe 5-10 times.

OK...something is amiss. I've done this with the same setup and had no problems...
I shot GH-2 with Flowmotion 2.02, 720P-60, and I had the shutter cranked WAY HIGHER than 125. I mean it was up at like 400 and 800.
I recorded on a regular Sandisk Extreme 16Gig card.

The only difference - and this MAY have something to do with it - is that I was using a Canon 50mm lens, so no oversharpening from a Panny lens, no OIS, and no autofocus.

Unfortunately I have not recorded with these settings whilst using a Panasonic lens, so I cannot offer any direct experience there.

Complex scenes like running water always kill my hacked Gh2 no matter what card I use. The rest of the time its fine. Were you shooting a scene with movement and/or low light ??

I was shooting with a Nikon 50mm. There was a little bit of motion, but no water in the back ground. I've been mainly filming in the after noon. It seems like the first time I power on the camera and try to shoot it, it locks up and then I have to pull the battery to break the locking up as the on-off switch does nothing. Then the second or third time it is ok; however, after that it's hit and miss as to whether it will work again.

Ok, a little more testing at kid's swim lessons. If I shot 24p at 50 shutter first, then 720p 125 is ok. If I try to film with it first, then it crashes. Thoughts?

I'm having the exact same issue -- using FlowMotion, using a Sandisk Extreme Pro, and it's just locking up with the "write speed of the card too slow" message.

I'm unhacking.

Try a different hack? Flowmotion is great, but it's known to have issues. I would recommend Sanity. I've never had any problems with it, even without Sandisk cards.

That's what they said about FlowMotion though -- no crashes ever.

Meh. I'm done with hacks. I can absorb my footage being slightly softer, but I cannot tolerate the camera locking up, losing a shot, and needing the production to be shut down while I pull it off the tripod head and remove the tripod plate so I can pull the battery out, just so I can get the thing to turn off.

I'm back on firmware 1.1 now, and feel much better about it.
