skateboard promo

I enjoyed the video. There were some pretty creative shots in there. I shoot a lot of skating and I find it hard to watch a lot of amateur skate videos because of the lack of creativity and poor filming. The one problem I had was the switching between 4:3 and Letterbox. Otherwise pretty decent.
 
Great work, rhandomskate. I also shoot a good amount of skating (mostly rollerblading though.) This was a pretty refreshing take on skateboard videos. Something that I've noticed in the industries is that rollerblading has made a big leap into HD and now even film production for some videos (Barely Dead by Doug Urhquart), yet I haven't seen too many skateboarding videos stepping up the level of production. Then again, maybe I just haven't seen the right ones.

So my point is that I really like your style here. Nice, creatives shots and not an entire video full of fisheye tracking shots. :thumbsup:
 
I thought there were some really great shots in there, I've always been a big fan of skate videos and so it's always interesting to see how people put it all together. I loved that shot of the leaves at the end too!

Cool video, some pretty wicked tricks in there too!
 
Very good job! Creative. It made me watch the shots and not necessarily the skating.
The beginning.....with the film clip where it rotated, was that after effects?
 
ehh just used keyframing and layering in after effects and masking, it was pretty simple... just a semi-long process
 
i'll give you an A on the lighting, camera was kind of repetitive for a skate video, like all these panning/revealing shots, and a quicker pace could have been done, but great look to it nonethe less and nice style as well.
