I wrote/directed/shot/edited a feature film called "Skate Proof". The post-production is completed and am working on the DVD's and Blu-ray's now. I shot the whole thing on a 7d using nikon AI lenses and only had $2,500 which basically covered craft and some props. Check out the trailer and let me know what you think.

Looks really good! I'll tell you the main reason I'm so interested. I come from a skateboard filming background too-- the classic, filming with DVX100s and VX1000s. :D I don't know whether or not you're familiar with Skate Perception, but I'm actually a filming moderator on there. It's a forum/community of thousands of skateboard filmers. Granted, I don't shoot skating anymore, but I still give basic information in the DSLR sections.

I like how you even put some of that traditional style footage in the film; it's neat to see someone take a completely different toll on a feature. It's cool that you got true skateboarders as actors too. I liked the behind the scenes video where the dude was like, "We got real skateboarders so nobody would be mall grabbin' it. No phoney bullshit". Haha! I'd like to see the film. It definitely looks a LOT better than that new feature, "Hardflip"...

@KyranFordYeah that's my background I use to only film skate videos a few years back with the Dvx and VX1, then got into filmmaking and decided I wanted to do feature with skateboarding involved but not about sponsorships and **** like "Grind" and "Hardflip". Yeah I used to frequent Skate Perception a but only check it out every so often these days, I posted the trailer on the forums there in the promo's section. But yeah it's to bad how every-time someone gets money to make a skate related movie like Grind or Hardflip they end up doing some really cheesy things, and the filmmaker doesn't seem to have a real grasp on the culture either.

Well almost a year later after doing some dvd and online sales I decided to post whole film on youtube for free!
