"Signal Decay" -- Shaun Patrick/Stewbottum/Wilder Works

Guys...that was hilarious. Completely original...loved it. We also went for the comedy side of things.

Cool!

REALLY REALLY Liked this one! The set was a bit off... felt like a house converted to a dentist office. But, other than that, I loved this one. HAHA! Loved the alternate universe thing. Overall hillarious piece, one of the most fun to watch I've seen! Props!

Thanks for the comment. It's an actual dentist's office.

Well in that case, I didn't say anything... ;) Well, I guess all dentist's office's aren't like the one I go to... Anyway, loved the film man, and it's in my short list for sure!

So that's the kind of nightmares a dentist has! Hahahaha. Loved the "sterile" lighting of the dentist's office.

The tooth prop was amazing! Please tell me that was not someones real tooth.

Yeah, we were lucky enough to work with a dentist on the props (the digital X-ray and the wired tooth) and the tooth is real. I guess dentists keep pulled teeth for their collections.

i liked it...i could watch your actors in feature length, cause they´re just hilarious...it´s either great directing, comedian talent or too much pot...also liked the test /split screen scene...too many tv stations here in austria work with splitscreens, sell it as "the-cool-24-style" and just can´t handle it and it sucks, but yours worked really well...

really cool flick

Glad you liked it, janzie. I wish I could take the credit on the directing side in terms of the acting but I think we're just really lucky to be good friends with some great actors.

Yeah! This was hilarious. Some great lines in yours -- I'm particularly fond of anyone using "gangbusters" in a script.

Some sweet x-rays too.

You guys obviously had some fun making this. It was pretty damn funny and original. The acting was a tiny bit off at times but overall very good. I loved the X-ray pic and enjoyed the film very much. Thanks for making it!

BTW: A bunch of people in my family are dental assistants and all their dental offices do look like this one.

Great look, funny, and some pretty good acting, this is in my top 5 for sure!

..and I'm getting close to the bottom of the list.

favorite sequence is the split-screen business. been a fan of split-screen but haven't found motivation in anything i've done so far.

Thanks BrianV...I've always wanted to use it in something too and we found the split screen sequence was more effective (and shorter) than a straight cutting montage. It's a little flashy but I think it works for this piece.

Movies can be flashy :-D Alot of people forget that. Editing, split screen, etc are the sort of things you find only in film/video... unique from any other art forms.

If you can do it, and motive it... USE it :)

Word! ;)

I was originally against the "dance of the split screens," but as it got refined and reduced, it finally got to the point where it was giving the audience more information, more efficiently (in less time, that is), and I was finally sold on the dance. Point being, if this kind of stuff doesn't get a lot of arguing in the editing room, someone's being a weenie.

It is my policy to put a smile at the end of every post I make. :)
