Hey guys,

I own a C100 and have only the 24-105mm f/4 by Canon. Heard the new Sigma 24-35mm lens has an EF mount and with an aperture of f/2 I'm wondering if this is as good as it sounds. People are saying
it's like having three prime lenses in one. This is a full frame lens.

Would like to know your thoughts,

Toby

Are you going to be upgrading or using it on FF as well as the APS-C C100?

If it's for current use on a C100, the Sigma 18-35mm F/1.8 ART it a better option, wider, and faster and cheaper and btw it also covers FF from 24 to 35mm but probably edge performance is going to be better on this new 24-35mm f/2, anyway yes it's as good as it sounds, 3 perfectly sharp 1.8 primes in one neat lens, an 18, a 24, a 35 f/1.8 lenses with the ability to tweak in-between. Crazy fast lens in lowlight.

The 18-35mm is for the s35 shooter and the 24-35mm is for the FF shooter,

I agree with Ebrahim. 18-35 is what you want for a s35. Optically it's the best lens you can buy until you get into the many-thousand-dollar range. Especially if you use the 24-105 for a run and gun lens - you need the wideness of the 18-35.
