Well Done Sigma, its the sharpest lens ever made for crop sensor cameras. Check this test from Lenstip

I think its huge improvement, but 50-100mm is more expensive than 18-35mm :/
We just need Tokina 14-20mm f2 and you dont need to worry about light
Test of this Tokina : http://www.lenstip.com/index.php?test=obiektywu&test_ob=470
hey parrot, i assume the autofocus works on the 18-35mm sigma as well? i am curious, since it works on some sigma lenses, i assume it would work on 'some' other canon mount lenses like zeiss or tokina? do you have these lenses to try out? and correct me if i am wrong, but only lenses with auto focus would work right? manual lenses with canon adapter is out of the question?
btw i don't know if this was mentioned before, but let's say you want to switch your EF to PL mount, you send it in to the canon service center, and pay a fee; does canon send the EF parts back to you so that you can perform it yourself next time? (meaning you can switch back from PL to EF on your own?) is it just a one time thing or everytime you want to switch you have to send it to canon for them to do it?
I added a spacer and the lens and it is now parfocal on my cameras. The lens has a couple of spacers already inside the mount, so it is possible to adjust the backfocus if you are motivated enough.
Me? I bought some scientific/industrial spacers that were the same inner and outer diameter as the mount and also as thin as I could find. I don't remember where I found them online. And then I drilled holes for the mounting screws and cut off any extra area around the inside or outside of the spacer that was hitting the iip of the mount, sanded the spacer to get rid of edges from the cutting, and then slid the spacer in underneath the mount. On the Sigma, 50-100, there is already a spacer installed so there are actual OEM spacers being manufactured, but I don't know how you would order one outside of buying an extra 50-100 and stealing its spacer..How do you add spacers and adjust back focus to make a lens parfocal?
Seems like Sigma has decided to support the Canon Cinema EOS line! :2vrolijk_08:
