Sigma fp

FP is down $200 to $1,700 off its original $1,900 price tag. It sits right in the cripple valley with Canon EOS R (center crop, codec) and A7III (8-bit codec). For video, I'd take EOS R and a really wide lens (not that any of three is a must have in 2021).

Price-wise, FP is likely to be effected by the new cameras in that range rather than FP L.

And, of course, we never know what these new cameras and their exact specs might be ahead of time. Per usual, there's a catch or two in the final release.

I did watch the Undone video... Wow is all I can say. I'm sure everything else has already been said about the new L model. Going to need to be a huge number of software fixes in there to try and salvage anything, or just stop production altogether.

Speculations abound that ex-Olympus will now join the L-alliance. Which will probably mean that Olympus, Sigma, Nikon, Panasonic and Leica will all be using the same hand-me-down Sony sensors. Sony will naturally be keeping the best and the latest for themselves, albeit at a slightly higher price.

I am quoting myself again while I can (double downvoted post) - OM (the new Olympus) said today they won't be joining the L-Alliance. So, the next question is their MFT roadmap, both for OM and Panasonic. They said today there'll be something down the road but revealed nothing.
