Hello, I am looking for a new general cheap lens. It doesn't have to be very fast since most of what I am going to be using it for will be well lit outside. I am thinking of getting the Sigma 18-50 since its cheap, has internal zoom and the images looks pretty sharp. Main purpose of this lens will be for video, and will either be using a follow focus or glide cam. No re-balance = crazy awesome! haha,
I have the Tamron 17-50 2.8 and its ok. For some reason it never really got any crazy amazing shots compared to kit lens (besides the fact it was awesome in low light). I am pretty sure its a bad copy, the zoom ring has also broken & its probably full of dust and paint. I took it to burningman twice and the color festival. Moments > Gear.
Is there any other cheap lenses to check out that may fit what I am looking for? I have the 18-55 kit lens, but focusing is a joke and is impossible to use for a follow focus.
Thanks in advance
