My understanding is it's a zoom for 35mm cameras (maybe I should say full frame) and the adapter will allow it to be mounted to micro 4/3 cameras, including the GH2. It's a beautifully made lens, the focus and zoom have just the right amount of stiffness, not at all like the Panny zooms which feel like crap (I own both the 12-35 and 35-100). On the other hand, the Sigma is heavy as hell, which is why when I buy a fast lens for my system, it's going to be a fixed focal length, either one of the Noktons or the upcoming Leica 42.5mm.I thought the metabones was aimed at full frame lenses? This Sigma is only for crop sensors i believe?

The speedbooster (at a .71x crop) would turn the GH2 (1.86x crop) into a 1.32x crop camera (roughly APS-H size), and the GH3 or other "normal" m43 cams (2x crop) into 1.42x crop cameras (between APS-C and APS-H). So either way you're still going wider than APS-C/s35.
Thanks fo the info guys. So basically what you're saying is that it should theoretically work and if so it should maintain its wide angle properties that it has on the Canon APS-C cameras?
If so that's awesome and would be a great lens/adapter combo for m4/3.
As has been stated, the Speedbooster gives a GH3 a crop factor of 1.4. The GH2 would be around 1.3 and some APS-C lenses may not completely cover the GH2'a Mult Aspect sensor.
And you could use the same argument that standard cinema sensor size is still closer to APS-C, so who needs more than that anyway?I don't know why people are disappointed that the 1.4 crop factor is still not 'Full Frame'. The Canon 1Dx is the king of the Canon hill and it has a crop factor of 1.3. I'd happily shoot with a 1D!
