C100: sigma 18-35 on the C100

Been researching this lens, and the low-light capabilities are tempting. That said, I'm reading a lot of mixed things about how this lens functions in practice on the C100. Is vignetting an issue? There's no IS on this lens... has this proven to be a problem on the C100? Is this lens fully useable on a C100 at 1.8? Any general experiences from users with this camera/lens combo would be helpful. Thanks!

I haven't noticed any particular vignetting. No IS is no IS, same deal on any other non-IS lens. I use it at 1.8 a lot of the time and it's fine. Things to consider: The zoom ring operates in the opposite direction from Canon lenses. It's heavy. The DAF version of the C100 my or may not autofocus at any other aperture than 1.8 (may depend on firmware)

I shot all the dark reception scenes in this wedding video on the sigma 18-35. ISO was 3200 - 6400. Very pleased with the results: https://vimeo.com/124542801 (it doesn't look like it in the final piece, but to my eye it was DARK in there)

I had to update the firmware of the lens to get the DPAF to work at any aperture above f1.8. I bought and returned the lens dock in order to do this for free.

Very nice! Are you using the AVCHD codec? Not seeing a lot of noise in the low-light shots. Thanks!
