C100: Sigma 18-35 and 2x extender

Hi,

Is it possible to use a 2x extender and the Sigma 18-35 with the C100? Someone tried it?
Would be awesome to have 18-70 range with lens.

Even if it worked (it may, it may not, I don't know - depends if the lens is designed for crop sensors) the range would then be like the frame of view of a 36-70mm lens, not 18-70mm.
 
I meant that with one lens and the 2x extender, I would have from 18mm to 70mm in my bag. I know that with the extender on I would have a range from 36 to 70 but would be fun to have that option when 35mm is not enough.
 
OK, that makes sense now.

However, if (as I think) that Sigma lens is designed for crop sensors, then I doubt a 2x extender would work. The Canon extenders I have certainly don't work on the EF-S lenses I have.
 
The Canon extenders do not fit. Off brand extenders might. Of course, you could just buy and 18-135 stm and have even more range for about what it would cost to get an extender.

That is an option, but I really like the Sigma 18-35 and sometimes 35mm is not enough.

So even if you could put it on the 18-35 the 2X would make it go from f/1.8 to f/3.5. So you'd be better off with a 17-55 at f/2.8 or a 24-70 at f/2.8.
