Sigma 1.4 30mm vs. 20mm 1.7

Anyone use the 30mm sigma 1.4 on the GH1? How well does it hold up to handheld shooting? I'd like to get this since I plan on getting a 7D and it's better spending to buy lenses that fit both bodies and not just one (since you can't put the panny 20mm on a 7d without vignetting, let alone the probably non existence of an adapter). And both are about the same price.

Obviously 20mm on the GH1 shouldn't be a problem at all handheld without OIS, but how well does 30mm hold up? I've only tried a 50mm lens on the GH1 and would say it's virtually unusable handheld on a consistent basis.

30mm shouldn't be too bad handheld, but it definitely won't be as good as the 20mm, which should be pretty smooth.

What about going for the Sigma 20mm f1.8 in Eos mount? Will work on both bodies, not quite as fast, but still fast enough for most purposes. Supposedly, Samyang is going to be bringing out either a 30mm or 35mm f1.2 in EOS mount next year that will be manual focus, manual aperture...could be worth waiting for that since their 85mm f1.4 has been so well regarded, and the anticipated pricing will be around $400. That's if you need both focal lengths. The 20mm Sigma 1.8 also has a super nice macro capability.

I've just started using my Sigma 30mm 1.4 on the GH1, and, so far, have been incredibly impressed. The low light performance is pretty amazing. As far as handheld ability goes, I haven't noticed a problem. You're not going to trick anyone into thinking you're using a steadicam, but neither will you on the 14 end of the kit. It's a reassuringly hefty lens, so the added weight lends a stability to the entire camera. With my added L bracket making a nice two handle grip platform, the entire rig makes some wonderful fluid handheld shots. Again, not a steadicam, but a different and entirely pleasing aesthetic...

I have the sigma 24mm f/1.8 ("macro") for F-mount and I really like it...it's pretty steady handheld although I almost never handhold my GH1 anymore without some kind of stabilizer (usually my DIY gunstock mount) unless I'm running and gunning in public.
