Thorn, In order to resolve this I'll explain where I was coming from. These three comments in succession where the reply to me saying that it's not all that difficult for the camera encoding 4K at 200Mbps considering we know that all the hardware and SD interfaces can handle the data rate. With the three comments after each other, It did feel like you were trolling for an argument.

Considering the first two comments which were written to make my views sound ridiculous and unreasonable, I took your comment in the same sarcastic light to make me sound unreasonable as obviously expecting the GH4 to encode 8K at 800Mbps is kinda silly and that is not my argument at all. I don't expect magical things from a $1600 camera and I never have.

Hope we can draw a line under this as all here ( apart from Malibu) sound like reasonable people that can actually hold a conversation.

Bern, I reported this thread and Malibu's posts days ago. Obviously the mods find it entertaining enough not to shut down. Let's face it. I think the fact that the thread has been allowed to stay open, that everyone has settled down and had the chance to clear the air so not a bad thing at all.

P have all these info on their camcorder ( and DC) since forever. Pro or not pro we want to choose what info we like to see.
For Pro version you should able to decide which one to switch off.
 
Les Wilson on another forum seems a decent chap VT - do you know him. He discusses technical points without actually calling them fools and idiots. Is it because it's a real name forum?
Shut the gate on this Mr Mod and watch VT' s responses on other threads. .He's a bully boy that needs to be put in his place
