Sick CG!

This is my take at CG. I'm almost there, just need to learn how to texture better!

when that water hits the wall of the building by brain explodes.

I can't understand how realistic the movement is.

Really...exploded brain.

Ok fellow users, I need your help. And I'm going to hijack this thread to do it.

I'm taking a 3D characters and animation class.
We have learned how to model, skin, bone, and animate a character. And now we have a piece due next Tuesday.
Here's my problem: I'm totally uninspired of someone/thing to make. It's only a basic course, so the animation will be simple. Like walk up and say hello type simple.

But I come to you in hope of some inspiration ideas. What to make?

I suck at anything organic - my basic 3D course project was a metro station. (And a damn fine one at that if I may say so myself)

I can either use a stock biped and build a body for it, or I can build my own bone structure and animate that.

I'm just looking for inspiration for something cool.

Holy moley thats wicked, I know on the fracture thing I did I used a fracture script, but I never tried it on glass, howdaya do that (I heard Maya is kickass in simulation over max) . Are you using a plugin for that water simu or is it built in?

@ Hudson yea, I'll mirror it over once that side is done, only problem is I dont know how to do the tiny details like door handles and light bulbs, arrg I just figure it out when I get there.

Man think about it between Hudson Me and Taylor we got Max, XSI (Softimage thingy), and Maya, thats the whole damn 3d industry haha! we should get to gether (once we have mastered this black voodo) and make an VFX house :)

Thanx Anhar....I have some people who help me out in times of math problems.
Maya does good dynamics but they are very hard to control, basicallly each time it is different, and requires to do the computing of all elements on everyframe....this is going to be in HD so the rendertimes will be about 20 min per frame with motion blur....
but getting it set up right now is the hard part...) then on to compositing...

While we're discussing good CG in crappy movies, check out this:
http://www.cgtalk.ru/index.php?id=daywatch1

It's the making of Day Watch, sequel to Night Watch (2004) that only just hit theaters in US. Day Watch also became the highest grossing movie in Russia 2 weeks after its release on January 1st this year. But it sucks just as bad as the first part... VFX for the sake of VFX, more like a CG reel than a movie.
That page is in russian, but you can still see all the pics and download the videos, some pretty cool stuff there.
