Shutter Speed While Shooting 60p for Slowmo?

I'll be shooting some stuff in 60p and slowing it down. What is the ideal shutter speed? Should it be 120 (the x2 rule) or 50/60 since I'll be putting it into a 24p sequence in Final Cut? The rest of my project will be 24p.

If you're shooting 1/50 or 1/60 on your 24p footage, and you want the 60p stuff as slow-mo, then 1/120 is the appropriate speed for that. Just watch out for fluorescent/hmi/vapor lights.

If you plan to slow it down in post with AE or Twixter you may want to experiment with higher shutter speeds for those clips. Sharper frames may give the computer a simpler task to write all the frames in between.

that's very true.. and then you can add the motion blur after doing the speed changes..
I have a question here.. how fast should the shutter speed be for best results? is it the faster the better?
